About the event

“Hip hop dancing” is a term that encompasses a number of dance styles like breaking, characterised by a series of moves performed on the ground; locking, recognisable for its fluid, rounded movements filled with pauses to surprise the crowd; popping, in which the dancers quickly contract and relax their muscles to cause a jerk or sudden stop in their movement; house dance, a fluid dance with aerial moves; voguing, inspired by fashion shows, copying their attitudes and poses; krumping, an energetic dance with fast, snappy movements; and new style, a blend of several different dances.
