About the artist

Jean-Baptiste Guégan became an overnight sensation in France when he impressed the television audience of “France’s Got Talent”. His amazing talent is to have a voice that’s identical to his lifelong idol: the late, great Johnny Hallyday, who left this Earth on 5 December 2017. Shaken to the core by the news of the megastar of French rock’s death, Jean-Baptiste Guégan decided to put together a tribute show. Entitled La voie de Johnny (in French, a pun on Johnny’s voice/Johnny’s way), the show attracted packed crowds all over France when it was first performed. To accompany the launch of the show, Jean-Baptiste Guégan recorded his first studio album, "Puisque c'est écrit". Released in August 2019, the album was composed by one of Johnny’s faithful friends and collaborators, Michel Mallory, along with his son, Jean-Thomas Mallory. Michel Mallory gave JB Guégan five songs that were originally written for Johnny Hallyday. Recorded in Nashville, the album Puisque c'est écrit contains 12 never-before-heard tracks, and reached number one in France, before going double platinum in December 2019!
